Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has endorsed the design of the Roads & Transport Authority’s (RTA) 223 million dirhams ($60.71 million) Enterprise Command & Control Centre (EC3) for EXPO 2020, according to a press statement issued by the RTA.

The Enterprise Command and Control Centre (EC3), worth $91.2m (AED335m), is aimed at catering the needs of hosting Expo 2020.

The centre will enable the authority to provide integrated management of mobility and public transport systems required for mega events like the EXPO 2020, said Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the transport authority.

“The EC3 has a span of 6,996 square meters, and consists of a ground floor and five stories with a total floor area of 10,900 square metres,” said Al Tayer.
