Looking Back on 2025: The Three A’s That Shaped Our Year

EER Middle East celebrating 20 years of relocation services across the Middle East

As we step into 2026, it feels important to pause and reflect on the year just gone. 2025 was a defining year for EER Middle East. It challenged us, inspired us and reinforced what truly matters as we continue to grow across the region. When we look back, three themes stand out above all else. We call them the Three A’s of 2025.

Anniversary: 20 Years of Progress, People and Purpose

2025 marked a significant milestone for EER Middle East as we celebrated 20 years in business. Founded in 2005 as a small team with a clear vision, EER Middle East has grown into a trusted relocation, immigration and corporate services partner across six Middle East destinations – the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar. Under the leadership of Marie O’Neill and Aideen Hopkins, our business has expanded to over 47 team members, representing 14 different nationalities. Reaching 20 years is about far more than longevity. It represents the relationships we have built, the challenges we have overcome and the trust placed in us by clients and partners around the world. This milestone gave us the opportunity to reflect not only on how far we have come, but also on where we are heading next. As we move forward, our focus remains clear: to continually evolve our services, anticipate the needs of the future and strengthen collaboration with like-minded organisations who share our commitment to quality and care. The 20-year mark was not simply a celebration of the past, but a powerful reminder of how much more there is still to come.

Awareness: The Power of Cultural Understanding

As our footprint across the Middle East has grown, one lesson has become increasingly clear: cultural awareness is essential to success. A successful relocation, business expansion or new beginning depends heavily on understanding local customs, values and expectations. That is why cultural awareness continued to be a key focus for EER Middle East throughout 2025 and why we have invested in developing bespoke cultural awareness programmes tailored to each destination. Whether supporting assignees and their families, entrepreneurs launching new ventures or organisations expanding their presence, accurate local insight can fundamentally transform an experience. Our programmes provide practical guidance on daily life, business etiquette, communication styles and social norms, helping individuals to integrate faster, build trust and thrive with confidence. In Saudi Arabia, for example, our training bridges cultural gaps through modules such as adapting to daily life, building trust, business communication and key do’s and don’ts. Proper cultural awareness not only supports smoother onboarding and faster productivity, but also enables a deeper, more meaningful connection with the region and its people. It opens the door to experiencing the warmth, hospitality and rich heritage that define the Middle East.

Awards: Recognising Exceptional People

Above all else, 2025 reinforced what we have always known: our people are our greatest strength.Across all our Middle East locations, our teams consistently went above and beyond for our clients. Seeing that dedication recognised externally was a proud moment for the entire organisation. In 2025, EER Middle East was honoured with three prestigious industry awards:

These awards reflect the passion, expertise and commitment our teams bring to their work every single day. Even after 20 years, they continue to raise the bar, delivering exceptional service and setting new standards within our industry.

Looking Ahead

As we close the chapter on 2025, we do so with gratitude for our clients, our partners and our incredible team across the region. The year reminded us of the importance of reflection, awareness and appreciation, and how these values shape everything we do. We look forward to building on this momentum and making 2026 even more impactful, collaborative and successful as we continue to support individuals and organisations navigating the Middle East with confidence.
